EPAM Systems is seeking a Java Backend Developer to design scalable backend services and robust APIs for mobile and web experiences. You will contribute to microservices with Java and Spring Boot in an agile team to deliver reliable, secure platforms.

The role requires 2+ years in Java, 2+ years in Spring Boot, and experience with relational databases and microservices. Strong communication in English is essential, with opportunities to work on international projects and with global teams.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 2+ years of Spring Boot experience.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Hands-on with JPA/Hibernate or similar persistence frameworks.
• Agile/Scrum teamwork experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English (B2).

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful APIs that support mobile and web applications.
• Develop secure, reliable microservices with strong performance.
• Optimize database models and data access layers.
• Integrate third-party platforms and external APIs.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product, and architects to deliver solutions.
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.
• Improve delivery practices through CI/CD, automation, and modern development workflows.
