Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a MID - Java + ASO Engineer to join a remote role. The candidate will work on Java fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and repository management within a distributed team environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on configuration, version control proficiency, and collaboration with developers to implement features, analyze code, and ensure clean merges and branch workflows across projects.

Qualifications

• Basic Java programming experience.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Knowledge of at least one other object-oriented programming language.
• Familiarity with Java Development Kit (JDK) and IDEs.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure basic concepts: repository, commit, branch, merge.
• Initialize and clone repositories; add and commit changes.
• View history and repository status (status, log).
• Create and switch branches; merge branches and resolve conflicts.
