Sanmina-SCI Systems de México is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead IT projects across multiple portfolios within the IT group. You will drive initiatives from initiation through closure, coordinating with global teams and key stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or information systems, PMP or CAPM, Agile certifications, and 5+ years in a large, international manufacturing setting.

Technical Project Manager - Senior

Education: Bachelors Degree (Industrial engineer, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Information Systems).

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
• Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)

Experience

• Professional qualification with strong commercial focus
• 5+ years of experience preferably in a large, international corporate manufacturing environment
• Process improvement and reengineering experience
• Real-Time Operating Systems
• Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of SMT, ERP, MES and WMS processes

Knowledge

• PMLC (Project Life cycle Management): Proven ability to lead projects through all phases (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, closure).
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kan-ban, or Lean.
• Risk Management: A track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential project risks.
• Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing project budgets, including cost control and forecasting.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels (clients, team members, sponsors).

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for project management of a number of projects in one or more IT portfolios within the IT global business services team. Projects will range in size and complexity and will focus on specific business areas or functions. Some will involve business process change and IT aspects. Projects may target productivity improvement, cost reduction, total cost of ownership reduction (through improved system architecture) and/or compliance enhancement.

You will be expected to work closely with business stakeholders and become a trusted advisor in technology, solutions development and process improvement execution. You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to manage successful execution of all approved and agreed projects. You will also be working closely with both the business & IT leadership team to regularly report progress and status.
