Tyson Mexico is seeking an IT Product Owner I to work with experienced product owners and cross-functional teams to learn the voice of the customer, write user stories, and participate in sprint ceremonies.

You will help translate requirements into actionable items, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement while developing your product management and agile skills under mentorship.

Formación

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.
  • Experience: Less than one year of relevant or practical experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Requirements Gathering: Learn and observe how to work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Product Planning: Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap, defining features, and release timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and sales for alignment and execution.
  • Feature Prioritization: Understand prioritization based on user experience, business value, and feasibility.
  • Project Coordination: Observe and learn to coordinate activities, tasks, and timelines.
  • Documentation: Create user stories, feature specs, and release notes for stakeholders.
  • Testing and Validation: Learn UAT processes to ensure quality and user expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Help define KPIs and metrics to measure success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to iterate on features and user experience.

Job Details

As an IT Product Owner I, you'll be collaborating closely with experienced product owners and cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience in understanding the voice of the customer and product management methodologies. You'll collaborate to translate requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. You'll participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, guiding the team in delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions on time and within budget. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll gather feedback, measure product performance, and iterate on features to enhance the user experience and drive business outcomes. With guidance and mentorship from seasoned professionals, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in product management, agile methodology, and stakeholder communication.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Requirements Gathering: Learn and observe how to work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather and prioritize product requirements.

  • Product Planning: Assist in creating and maintaining the product roadmap, defining features, and release timelines based on business objectives and user needs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and execution of product initiatives.

  • Feature Prioritization: Understand how to prioritize features and enhancements based on their impact on user experience, business value, and technical feasibility.

  • Project Coordination: Observe and learn to coordinate project activities, tasks, and timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and deliverables completed on time and within scope.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and release notes, to communicate requirements and updates to stakeholders.

  • Testing and Validation: Learn and observe how user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of product features work to ensure they meet quality standards and user expectations.

  • Performance Monitoring: Understanding and assisting in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on product features and enhance the overall user experience.

  • Learning and Development: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management, seeking out learning opportunities to grow and develop in the role.

  • Customer Support: Provide support to customer-facing teams, including responding to customer inquiries, addressing product-related issues, and assisting with customer training and onboarding.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with product management peers and other team members, sharing knowledge, insights, and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.


Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT Certification.


Experience: Less than one year of relevant or practical experience.
