Univar Solutions Mexico is seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across a global environment. You will be the technical lead for LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security.

The role requires hands-on Cisco routing and switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and monitoring with Wireshark or SolarWinds. You'll collaborate with service providers and use ServiceNow for incident management.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and enterprise network architectures.
• Experience supporting large-scale LAN/WAN environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, STP, VPNs, ACLs, QoS, and network security concepts.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Experience working with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security solutions.
• Configure and support routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and VPNs.
• Serve as a Level 2/3 escalation point for network incidents, outages, and performance issues.
• Monitor network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage network optimization activities, including QoS, capacity planning, system upgrades, and configuration management.
• Coordinate with service providers and vendors on circuit installations, outages, and infrastructure projects.
• Support change management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
