Job summary

Flex is seeking an Intern in Aguascalientes to join our Industrial Engineering team. You will support manufacturing processes, conduct time studies, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S, with exposure to ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools. Intermediate to advanced English is preferred, and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
Experience with time studies, capacity planning, and line balancing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Intermediate to Advanced English.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning activities.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Coordinate process improvement projects across cross-functional teams.
Evaluate production layouts and material flow to maximize efficiency.
Support quality, safety, and cost reduction initiatives throughout the organization.
Prepare reports and present operational performance results to management.
