Job summary

Flex is seeking an Intern in Aguascalientes to support industrial engineering initiatives focused on process improvement and efficiency.

You will conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and SOP development while working with cross-functional teams to drive cost reduction and quality enhancements.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Industrial Engineering, knowledge of Lean/Sigma, and intermediate English in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
• Experience with time studies, capacity planning, and line balancing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning activities.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Coordinate process improvement projects across cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate production layouts and material flow to maximize efficiency.
• Support quality, safety, and cost reduction initiatives throughout the organization.
• Prepare reports and present operational performance results to management.
