Job summary

Flex in Aguascalientes is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to support manufacturing and process improvement. You will analyze, design, and optimize processes, conduct time studies and capacity planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.

The role requires collaboration across teams, maintenance of SOPs, KPI tracking, and participation in Lean/Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S.
Experience with time studies, capacity planning, and line balancing.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Intermediate to Advanced English.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning activities.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Coordinate process improvement projects across cross-functional teams.
Evaluate production layouts and material flow to maximize efficiency.
Support quality, safety, and cost reduction initiatives throughout the organization.
Prepare reports and present operational performance results to management.
