Job summary

Swiss Re in Mexico City is seeking a meticulous Requirements Engineer who will bridge business needs and technical implementation for insurance products, translating complex requirements into clear specifications for the development team.

You’ll collaborate with Platform Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, and the Data Office to maintain end-to-end consistency of system and information architecture, prioritize the backlog, and own production support and project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or in similar roles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Proficiency in tools like Jira or similar Agile management platforms like Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in Visio or other process mapping tools, with good knowledge of BPMN.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and clarify business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications including business architecture, process maps, wireframes and data models
• Ensure comprehensive specification of User Stories with all required data and background analysis available to the entire team
• Design and define related test cases and support the Product Owner in creating effective acceptance criteria
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, Business Architecture and the Data Office to maintain end-to-end consistency of system, process and information architecture
• Anticipate and analyze customer needs to develop effective problem-solving solutions
• Organize and prioritize the Product Backlog based on Product Owner guidance
• Own production support for one or more business applications, addressing user requests directly or triaging more complex cases to the development team
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on the corporate Wiki
