Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Mechanical Design Engineer for its Morelia, Michoacán team. You will lead the design and refinement of structural components for automotive-grade applications, using FEA to validate safety and performance under real-world loads.

You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams, create detailed CAD drawings in SolidWorks/CATIA, and mentor junior engineers while staying current with materials and processing advances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and structural analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis techniques. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the engineering department.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and structural analysis. Proven expertise in FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and CAD software. In-depth understanding of material properties, failure modes, and stress analysis principles.
