Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Mechanical Design Engineer for its Morelia, Michoacán team. You will lead the design and refinement of structural components for automotive-grade applications, using FEA to validate safety and performance under real-world loads.

You will collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams, create detailed CAD drawings in SolidWorks/CATIA, and mentor junior engineers while staying current with materials and processing advances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and structural analysis.
• Expertise in FEA software (ANSYS/Abaqus) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of material properties, failure modes and stress analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team environments.
• Proficiency in English for reading technical documents and international collaboration.
• Experience in automotive or aerospace industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components with focus on structural integrity.
