Job summary

Collaboration with hardware engineers, thorough debugging, and documentation are part of the role in a hybrid work setting in Mexico. 3+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or similar.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Familiarity with automotive software development processes and standards (AUTOSAR).
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in hybrid work environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug embedded software for automotive applications.
• Develop software for microcontrollers and embedded systems using C/C++.
• Implement and optimize RTOS for automotive ECUs.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, maintenance.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and interfaces.
• Perform software integration and testing on target hardware platforms.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Stay current with automotive software standards (AUTOSAR) and best practices.
• Contribute to documentation of software designs and implementations.
