Job summary

Magna International in Mexico seeks an engineer with 2–3 years in the automotive sector to establish robust assembly standards, ensure safety and quality, and maintain on‑time deliveries with cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include applying welding basics, interpreting drawings (GD&T, RPS, SPC) and developing procedures to ensure a controlled, documented production process.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in Automotive industry, similar role.
• Basic knowledge of assembly processes and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Establish proper standards for assembly processes, ensuring safety and ergonomics to meet client and company quality standards, and ensure on-time delivery at low process cost.
• Basic knowledge of welding applications (MIG, Laser, Spot Welding) and tooling in the assembly process, mechanics and materials properties to ensure efficient processes meeting client requirements.
• Develop and monitor procedures, instructions and diagrams for productive processes and interpret GD&Ts, reference point system (RPS) and SPC for a controlled, documented process.
