Assess supplier APQP activities and readiness for new products, transfers, process changes, and production ramp-up in compliance with AS9145 and Safran requirements.
- Evaluate APQP plans, deliverables, milestones, and maturity gates with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Assess manufacturing readiness and identify product, process, quality, capacity, and industrialization risks early in the product lifecycle.
- Review PPAP execution and verify completion and approval of required deliverables.
- Evaluate Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection plans, and related manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure Key Characteristics and Critical-to-Quality requirements are effectively implemented and controlled.
- Assess process capability and manufacturing controls using statistical tools such as Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk, SPC, MSA, and Gage R&R.
- Verify First Article Inspection readiness and compliance with AS9102 and Safran requirements.
- Assess production capacity and rate readiness, including tooling, equipment, staffing, cycle times, and run-at-rate capability; elevate major capability gaps as needed.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers to identify manufacturability and producibility risks during industrialization.
- Communicate APQP assessment results, readiness status, risks, and improvement actions to cross-functional teams.
- Conduct on-site supplier APQP, industrial readiness, and production readiness reviews.
- Assess readiness for transition from APQP/NPI to serial production and identify risks, controls, and open actions.
- Capture lessons learned, support continuous improvement, and identify issues requiring corrective actions or supplier capability development.
