Thermometrics México, S.A. de C.V. in Mexico is seeking a supplier quality professional to drive collaboration with suppliers and manage PPAP documentation for automotive components.

Responsibilities include audits, supplier changes, Lean/5S deployment, and ensuring compliance with AIAG/TS standards while partnering with engineering, purchasing and logistics teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3–5 years of related experience; professional certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality management (AIAG/TS).
• Familiarity with ISO IATF 16949/IS0 9001 standards and PPAP.
• Proficient in SPC, FMEA, 8D reports and IMDS basics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsabilidades

TASKS/JOB FUNCTION:

1. Cooperation with suppliers during the implementation of new products, by involvement in key product, using supplier´s expertise to optimize cost, delivery and manufacturability
2. Coordinate, review, approve and maintain all supplier PPAP documentation
3. Provide qualitative evaluation according to relevant indicators, provide audits by suppliers
4. Provides effective progress back PPM
5. Coordinates all the supplier changes
6. Identify new strategic suppliers
7. Cooperates with other departments especially with engineering, purchasing and logistic departments
8. Manage and controls the deals about complex requirements provided to supplier and sub – supplier, identifying areas to grow up the quality of deliveries
9. Participates on the development and increase of performance strategic suppliers
10. Implements and realizes tenders for suppliers of strategic material and subcontracting according to supplier’s markets

COMPETENCES:

2. To decide on stopping the production process in case of identifying nonconforming or suspect product, part, state machine or process.

Experiencia y requisitos

1. Bachelor´s degree in a technical field
2. 3 - 5 years related work experience – professional certification
3. Knowledge, internal informational system
4. Excellent knowledge of quality management systems in automotive as outlined by AIAG a TS
5. Knowledge of statistic methods – SPC, FMEA, 8D report
6. Knowledge of ISO Standards IATF 16949:2002/ IS0 9001:2000
7. Knowledge of PPAP, FAIR
8. Knowledge of Product and Process Audit VDA 6.3
9. Knowledge of customer requirements
10. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing – Kaizen, 5S
11. Knowledge of IMDS
12. Knowledge of IPC principles
13. Knowledge of technical documents
14. Team player, the strong orientation to customer’s access
15. Ability to manage sub-contractor suppliers in high-volume value fabricated parts/components
16. Ability to work on multiple projects all at once
