Job summary

Merit Medical is seeking an experienced nurse to support environmental health and safety initiatives in our Utah facility. The role involves managing workers’ compensation cases, maintaining medical records, and coordinating training for wellness and safety programs.

Responsibilities also include returning employees to work after injury, leading Code Blue activities, and providing regular updates to HR. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field and current licensure to practice as RN or LPN in Utah or applicable work location.
• Minimum four years of work-related experience in a medical facility with health care training.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management and self-directed abilities.
• Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing and databases.

Responsibilities

• Manages workers’ compensation injuries for all employees and reports trends.
• Maintains medical records and liaises with insurance carriers and boards.
• Directs first aid supplies and cost analysis; coordinates EHS programs.
• Provides training on wellness, safety, and return-to-work programs.
• Leads Code Blue duties and documents incident details.
• Updates HR on injury reports, work status, and return-to-work transitions.
