Job summary

Sulzer is hiring an estimator to develop comprehensive project estimates for TFS initiatives, coordinate with outside sales, and prepare professional proposals. The role requires reviewing customer specifications, preparing schedules, and ensuring all paperwork is in order for accurate bids.

Travel up to 20% may be required, with emphasis on clear communication and strong scheduling abilities. A relevant bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, business, or marketing preferred.
• 2–5 years’ experience in industrial construction; 5+ years in petrochemical with pressure vessels and welding preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment installation drawings.
• Strong scheduling and planning capabilities with P6.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates covering all costs for TFS projects and set GM with outside sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with outside sales and external customers.
• Generate professional proposals and review customer specs and drawings.
• Create construction schedules detailing scope, timing, tasks, and manpower.
• Identify tools/equipment required and ensure proper paperwork for estimates.
