Flex seeks an Industrial Engineer - Metal Manufacturing in Guadalajara, North Campus to drive productivity through better work methods, layouts and process optimization.

You will develop capacity tools, balance lines, support NPI and SAP/ERP activities, and analyze data with Excel and Power BI.

Responsabilidades

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and inputs to process engineer.
• Coordinates process planning and setup for NPI with respect to takt and cycle time.
• Reviews prototyping results and provides feedback to NPI and sales.
• Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout and production data to improve efficiency.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Industrial Engineer - Metal Manufacturing located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Director, Design Project Management, the role involves responsibilities for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

What a typical day looks like:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.
• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English spoken and written.
• Development of capacity calculation tools.
• Knowledge of the metal-mechanical manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of electromechanical installations and utility/service distribution for manufacturing lines.
• Plus: Green Belt (LGB) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LBB) certification.
• Production & facilities management: capacity analysis, line balancing, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Projects & systems: infrastructure projects and basic SAP/ERP experience.
• Data & sustainability: advanced Excel, Power BI, and energy efficiency initiatives.
