Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in Mexico City is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations by analyzing processes, reducing waste, and improving productivity. You will work with design engineering, production, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that boost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with MS Excel and CAD tools, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with MS Excel, OneNote, MS Project and MS Visio a plus.
Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad.
English level: B2-C1.

Responsibilities

Work with project teams responsible for implementing new projects, providing labor estimates during the entire phase of the project from design concepts until production startup.
Review new design concepts and generate engineered labor standards.
Utilize LEAN methods to plan new processes and work cells, and optimize existing operations aimed at eliminating waste and increasing efficiencies.
Maintain and update existing labor standards.
Perform time and motion studies on complex tasks using standard Industrial Engineering methods, including direct observation or engineered standards.
Assist in the development of strategies, standards, guidelines and procedures for documenting and establishing labor standards.
Provide engineering and economic analysis support in analyzing and designing facilities, workflows, methods, and processes. Participate in capacity planning, new equipment cost justification and make-buy studies.
