Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a DSP/Personal Attendant to provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in Supported Living Services. The primary focus is active supervision to ensure health and safety, with occasional hands-on ADL assistance and community participation.

You will implement established BSPs, observe health and behavior, document daily progress, and assist with appointments. Training in Safety Care or CPI is preferred; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of direct support experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience with individuals with complex behavioral or mental health needs preferred.
• Experience implementing IPP, ISP and BSPs.
• Safety Care or crisis intervention training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, person-centered supervision in the home and community.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, dressing, hygiene.
• Supervise medication administration when needed.
• Transport to medical and personal appointments.
• Implement Behavior Support Plans to prevent de-escalation.
• Apply crisis prevention/intervention techniques during severe episodes.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and environment.
• Complete daily logs and progress notes per DDS and agency standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and related activities.
