Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help seniors and people with disabilities in their homes across the United States. You will provide one-on-one support, assist with daily activities, and help clients stay safe and independent in familiar surroundings.

Qualifications

As a Direct Support Professional, You’ll Work 1-on-1 With Your Clients Inside Their Homes, And Support Them With The Following Types Of Activities

• In-Home Assistance – Help your clients with day-to-day activities like preparing meals, cleaning, dressing, grooming, laundry, monitoring vital signs, bathing, toileting, technology and other basic activities
• Companionship – Join your clients in playing games, arts and crafts, and accompany them to events outside the home like appointments, grocery shopping and running errands
• Community Building – Create a safe and positive living situation for your clients by communicating with the family and other staff about any concerns or challenges

Eligibility Requirements

• A HS Diploma or GED
• A valid driver’s license
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain prior to employment

• Recognition of the needs of others, and the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds
