GE Vernova is seeking a Procurement Specialist/Category Specialist to join the Hydropower North America Construction & Commissioning Sourcing team. You will manage categories of items/services for US government and commercial hydro projects in the USA and Canada, interfacing with project teams and suppliers under FAR/DFARS guidelines.

The role requires a technical or supply chain degree, 3+ years in fabrication/manufacturing/sourcing, and fluency in English and French.

Formación

• Technical, supply chain/logistics or administration degree (college or university).
• 3+ years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing/sourcing environment.
• Bilingual English & French

Responsabilidades

• Implement volume discount strategies for specific categories.
• Lead Kick-Off meetings and related action plans
• Make sure supplier understand all technical requirements of the order
• Follow-up on Purchase Orders, gather regular status and updates from suppliers, maintain communication tools to project teams.
• Escalate blocking points (Supplier Deviations, etc.) with project and engineering
• Update Purchase Orders with technical document updates or Change Orders.
• Anticipate possible delays in delivery by understanding fabrication process, complexity, possible roadblocks.
• Support supplier in the use of our various tools: access, use, etc.
• Maintain supplier relationship even in challenging situations.
• Managing supplier payment
