GE Renewable Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist or Category Specialist to support the Hydropower North America Construction & Commissioning Sourcing team for projects in the USA and Canada.

The role focuses on managing categories, understanding federal regulations, and acting as the primary liaison between project teams and suppliers; requires bilingual English and French and a technical or supply chain background.

Formación

• Requires technical or supply chain degree.
• Requires 3+ years in fabrication/manufacturing/sourcing.
• Must be bilingual in English and French.

Responsabilidades

• Implement volume discount strategies for specific categories.
• Lead Kick-Off meetings and related action plans.
• Ensure suppliers understand all technical requirements of the order.
• Follow-up on Purchase Orders and provide regular status updates to project teams.
• Escalate blocking points (supplier deviations) with project and engineering.
• Update Purchase Orders with technical document updates or Change Orders.
• Anticipate delays by understanding fabrication processes and roadblocks.
• Assist suppliers in using various tools and systems.
• Maintain supplier relationships even in challenging situations.
• Manage supplier payment processes.

Conocimientos

3+ years experience
