GE Renewable Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist or Category Specialist to join the Hydropower North America Sourcing team. You will manage categories of items and services for GE US Government hydropower projects and Commercial projects in the USA and Canada, interfacing with project teams and suppliers.

The role requires knowledge of federal regulations (FAR/DFARS) and the ability to lead supplier communications, manage purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining

Formación

• Technical, supply chain/logistics or administration degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing/sourcing environment.
• Bilingual English & French.

Responsabilidades

• Implement volume discount strategies for specific categories.
• Lead Kick-Off meetings and related action plans
• Make sure supplier understand all technical requirements of the order
• Follow-up on Purchase Orders, gather regular status and updates from suppliers, maintain communication tools to project teams.
• Escalate blocking points (Supplier Deviations, etc.) with project and engineering
• Update Purchase Orders with technical document updates or Change Orders.
• Anticipate possible delays in delivery by understanding fabrication process, complexity, possible roadblocks.
• Support supplier in the use of our various tools: access, use, etc.
• Maintain supplier relationship even in challenging situations.
• Managing supplier payment
