Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking an AI Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of AI/ML and LLM initiatives, bridging business objectives with technical execution for the client's R&D organization.

You will join the Consulting delivery team and collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, external vendors, and executives in an Agile/Scrum environment to deploy scalable AI solutions and process redesign.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of project or program management experience in technology or data-driven initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering AI/ML and LLM-based solutions in production environments.
• Experience operating in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage both internal engineering teams and external vendors.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts (data pipelines, model lifecycle, generative AI).

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, success metrics and roadmap aligned to business goals, including MVP/POC scope.
• Lead Agile/Scrum delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination.
• Manage cross-functional internal teams and external vendors as the central coordinator across business, technology, and vendor teams.
• Own end-to-end project health, including scope, timeline, budget, risks, and quality.
• Translate business requirements into technical execution plans with clear milestones and prioritized backlogs.
• Oversee delivery of AI/ML and LLM-based solutions from use case definition through POC and MVP releases to full production implementation and scaling.
• Monitor and mitigate risks related to data, model performance, integration, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk and change control requirements (as applicable).
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Help drive adoption of new ways of working.
