Daikin Manufacturing México seeks a Labs Supervisor to oversee development and execution of tests for Air Thermal Systems at SLP plants and establish new lab facilities at the Ramos Arizpe plant. Based at the MEDC, the role leads a technical team and coordinates cross-border travel to ensure testing standards are met.

Formación

• 8+ years of relevant experience including at least 2 years in leadership.
• Advanced technical proficiency in English.
• Experience conducting tests for HVAC equipment and interpreting testing standards (ASHRAE 37, AHRI 430, AHRI 390, AHRI 210/240, ISO 13256-1).

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship to the technical team.
• Build and scale a team from 2 to 6–8 employees over a 2–3 year period.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 trips per year initially, increasing travel between San Luis Potosí and Coahuila, and Mexico–U.S. travel.
• Ability to independently identify and resolve laboratory-related issues.
• Define budgets and control expenses.
• Plan consumables and manage laboratory resources.
• Ensure follow-up and compliance with established test plans.
• Develop and execute training plans on safety topics such as LOTO, HomeSafe, working at heights, and energy control.
• Interpret test data to identify technical issues in equipment.
• Create internal procedures and drive standardization aligned with Plymouth (US) laboratories.
• On-site position, based in San Luis Potosí during the first years.

A Labs Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of multiple tests for Air Thermal Systems manufactured at the SLP plants, as well as for establishing and commissioning new laboratory facilities at the Ramos Arizpe plant. This position will be based at the MEDC (Mexico Engineering and Design Center).
