A leading health organization in Mexico, Estado de México is looking for a skilled HIMS Technician to manage and maintain patient records per healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, data entry experience, and a background in health information management. Formación

• Minimum three years of hospital HIMS experience preferred in lieu of certification.
• One year data entry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains delinquent records at less than 50% of the average discharge rate.
• Monitors staff deficiencies and assures that all IRF-PAI data elements are completed.
• Completes physician and staff deficiency checklist.
• Performs final check of medical records before designating records complete.
• Abstracts discharge date for PATCOM system for all discharged inpatients.
• Accurately completes data entry of all PATCOM HIMS data.
• Monitors and corrects errors on daily exception reports.

Conocimientos

Knowledge of medical terminology

Data entry experience

Educación

Graduated from accredited college or university

Registered Health Information (RHIT) preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Medical Record Technology College or vocational school preferred
