Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Mexico seeks an IT support specialist with 3+ years of experience. You will handle direct supervision tasks, support hardware/software, manage Windows and Office, and administer Active Directory and Exchange, with basic networking skills.

Strong documentation and customer-facing communication are essential. Role entails installation support, routine maintenance, and collaboration with management to meet health and safety objectives.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology is required.
• 3+ years of experience in related field and technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows at an advanced level.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, VPN devices, and wireless networking.
• Experience with Active Directory and Exchange administration.
• Ability to document clearly and accurately.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor projects under direct supervision.
• Record incoming customer communications and support tasks.
• Inform and train users on equipment and software; analyze and time-based recommendations.
• Keep clients informed professionally with accurate details.
• Record all customer communications using service desk software.
• Provide installation support and routine maintenance for hardware and software.
• Analyze and resolve failures from major crashes to password issues.
• Ensure documentation and notes are up to date.
• Support other duties as required by management.
• Comply with Spellman de México, S.A. de C.V code of conduct and health and safety policy.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitoring projects under direct supervision.
• Record incoming customer communications supporting and working on them.
• Inform and train users in the operation of equipment and/or software; Analyze and make recommendations on time.
• Keep clients informed in a professional manner ensuring accuracy of details.
• Accurately record all customer communications using the appropriate service desk software.
• Installation support and routine maintenance for hardware and software.
• Analyze and resolve failures ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
• Ensure documentation and job notes are kept up to date and accurate.
• Support to other duties when required by management.
• Comply with and ensure that the personnel under their charge comply with each of the points considered within the code of conduct (ethics) of Spellman de México, S.A. of C.V
• Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals.

Competences / abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
• +3 years of experience in related field and technical support.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows at an advanced level
• Advanced Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, VPN devices, wireless and other networking technologies.
• Printer installation and other computer equipment accessories.
• Manejo y instalación de cableado estructurado Cat6.
• Hardware computer repair and software installation.
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation and work notes.
• Basic English.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of active directory exchange email administration.
• Strong understanding of computer backup and restore methods.
• Ability to articulate at a technical level appropriate to the circumstances, for example, for clients with different levels of knowledge and IT competence.
