Job summary

Nemak in García, Nuevo León, Mexico, is seeking a Production Head to lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives. The role focuses on cost control, people development, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates have a metallurgy/mechanical/industrial/chemical engineering background, 5–6 years of manufacturing leadership, and strong English skills to coordinate with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering.
• 5–6 years in manufacturing or production operations, leading teams or shifts.
• 3 years in production with machining knowledge; experience in automotive/manufacturing preferred.
• English proficiency at a proficient level is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with internal HSE guidelines to achieve zero accidents.
• Lead quality improvement activities, develop plans and coordinate audits.
• Coordinate production workflow to meet demand including labor, equipment, and materials.
• Analyze manufacturing costs to support budget management and savings projects.
• Develop leadership and drive continuous improvement across departments.
• Promote environmental sustainability and monitor resource consumption.
• Collaborate with service departments and suppliers focused on customer needs.
• Identify training needs and develop employee capabilities.
• Participate in new program launches with cross-functional teams.
