Michael Page International México Reclutamiento Especializado S.A. de C.V. busca un Head of Manufacturing para liderar el inicio y operación de una nueva planta OEM de motocicletas en México.

El rol abarca la supervisión de las funciones clave y la entrega de resultados estratégicos. El candidato ideal debe contar con 10–15 años en automotriz, experiencia en liderar iniciativas greenfield, P&L, CAPEX y mejoras continuas, además de inglés avanzado para reportar a equipos internacionales.

Qualifications

• Experiencia en manufactura de alto volumen en OEM automotriz.
• Liderazgo en operaciones de planta y funciones de soporte (calidad, mantenimiento, ingeniería, cadena de suministro).
• Experiencia en proyectos greenfield, start-up de planta, lanzamientos de nuevos productos o ramp-up industrial.

Responsibilities

• Liderar de extremo a extremo la operación de una nueva planta de motocicletas.
• Gestionar P&L, presupuesto de operación y CAPEX.
• Supervisar Producción, Calidad, Mantenimiento, Ingeniería, Suministro, Logística y funciones de soporte.

Descripción

• As Head of Manufacturing you will be responsible for leading the development, start-up, and overall operation of a new motorcycle OEM manufacturing facility in Mexico.
• You will oversee the execution of the greenfield project, the development of the plant's organizational structure, the implementation of operational processes, production readiness, and the stabilization of operations. You will also have full responsibility for the plant's P&L, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and profitability targets.
• You will directly lead the Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Finance functions, while also overseeing Assembly, Logistics, Warehousing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
• Your responsibilities will cover the entire operational flow, from the receipt of materials and components through manufacturing, distribution, and delivery of finished products to the dealer network.

Perfil buscado

A successful Head of manufacturing should have:

• Between 10 and 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, with direct experience working for an automotive OEM.
• At least seven years of experience in leadership positions such as Plant Manager, Plant Director, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, or an equivalent role.
• Experience leading an end-to-end manufacturing operation, with responsibility for Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and support functions.
• Demonstrated experience in greenfield projects, plant start-ups, production line installation, new product launches, or industrial ramp-up processes.
• Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing, vehicle assembly, production planning, inventory management, and material flow.
• Direct experience managing P&L, operating budgets, CAPEX, conversion costs, working capital, and plant profitability.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, structured problem-solving, and process standardization.
• Experience in supplier development, evaluation, and performance management, preferably with exposure to component localization projects.
• Advanced English proficiency, required to interact with, present results to, and report to international teams and senior leaders.
• Hands-on leadership style, strong people orientation, effective communication, influencing skills, strategic thinking, operational discipline, integrity, and the ability to build teams and processes from the ground up.
