Job summary

Jambrina CPA is seeking an accounting assistant to perform accounting and administrative duties, processing invoices, transactions, and expenses while maintaining the accounting database. This role supports business growth and provides opportunities to enhance accounting knowledge.

The candidate will update records, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy in ledgers, with a focus on client data integrity and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• GPA or general average: ≥ 8.
• Competency in QuickBooks is a plus.
• Prior accounting experience of at least 2 years preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Compile and organize data provided by clients (invoices, receipts, bank statements).
• Record financial transactions in the accounting software.
• Evaluate and analyze financial and operating reports and data.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain journals, ledgers, and financial records.
• Coordinate with Tax Department and other business lines as necessary.
• Comply with US GAAP and ethics.
• Special projects and process improvement initiatives.
