Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group is seeking a dynamic Sales Developer to drive growth across the Gourmet portfolio in Mexico City. The role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering technical and commercial solutions for Chocolov and Confectionery objectives.

Responsibilities include managing accounts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting product development with customers and internal R&D.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Confectionery and Pastry or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in chocolate, pastry, confectionery, bakery, dairy, or related food industry.
• 2–3 years direct sales or commercial experience in food service.
• Strong understanding of distribution channels and customer portfolio development.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to hit volume and margin targets.
• Manage account plans, reviews, scorecards, and growth initiatives for assigned customers and distributors.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and expand wallet share.
• Collaborate with R&D and customers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead promotional calendars and commercial activities with distributors.
• Support supply chain planning and improve forecasting accuracy.
• Represent Barry Callebaut at trade shows and customer events.
