Job summary

Nouryon, a global chemicals company, is looking for an International Commerce Specialist to coordinate import and export logistics from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with customs and trade regulations. You will work with internal teams, customs brokers, and logistics providers to move shipments safely, efficiently, and on time.

The role requires 3-5 years in intl trade, English fluency, a related degree, and hands-on SAP ERP experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of import/export operations, customs, and international trade regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Commerce, or related field.
• Fluent in English and able to work onsite five days per week.
• Experience with SAP ERP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor land and air freight import and export shipments from planning through delivery.
• Manage customs clearance activities and work closely with customs brokers and logistics service providers to ensure accurate and compliant processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs and international trade regulations, including IMMEX, CTPAT, VUCEM, and other applicable requirements.
• Prepare, review, and transmit customs and commercial documentation accurately and on time.
• Track and trace shipments and ensure the timely movement and delivery of freight.
• Coordinate with Production, Sales, Logistics, and other stakeholders to meet customer and business needs.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry, invoices, and shipment documentation in the appropriate systems.
• Monitor daily workflows and process controls to ensure shipments remain on track.
• Apply knowledge of hazardous products and their transportation requirements to support safe and compliant logistics operations.
• Independently troubleshoot issues and work with stakeholders, particularly customs brokers, to resolve problems quickly.
• Identify opportunities to improve customs clearance and logistics processes.
