Job summary

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking an International Trade Supervisor to ensure compliance with Mexican and international trade regulations, manage customs operations, IMMEX, USMCA/T-MEC, VAT, and related free trade programs, and lead a team of Trade Compliance Analysts.

The role requires strong knowledge of Ley Aduanera, tariff classifications, certificates of origin, and coordination with customs brokers, government authorities, and internal departments to minimize risk and support

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Commerce and International Business.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Technical knowledge: IMMEX, Customs Law, FTA knowledge, RRNA, NAFTA analysis, tariff classifications, and related systems (Air, Land and Sea imports/exports).
• Other requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs Law and related regulations.
• Supervise import/export operations ensuring accurate documentation.
• Coordinate actions related to customs non-compliance findings.
• Lead and develop Trade Compliance Analysts and supervise brokers.
