Job summary

Landis+Gyr is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to safeguard the legal and fiscal integrity of our customs operations. The role focuses on mitigating high-impact risks, maintaining compliance with promotion programs, and supervising the legal performance of the external customs broker.

Based in Reynosa, you will analyze regulatory changes, conduct internal audits, and support operational continuity during crises while coordinating with authorities and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, Customs Law, or related field.
• 4–8 years of solid trade compliance experience in maquiladora environments.
• Advanced English (bilingual) required.
• Strong strategic thinking, legal analysis, and negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain VAT & IEPS Certification (Anexo 30) and related programs to prevent suspension or inquiries.
• Audit the external customs broker pedimentos and data glosses for regulatory alignment.
• Validate Anexo 24 balances and asset regularizations in the legal file.
• Interpret customs changes (USMCA/T-MEC) to design optimization strategies and compliant practices.
• Liaise with customs broker or authorities during crises to protect plant continuity.
