Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Customs Compliance specialist to execute daily import/export operations with a focus on regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with the customs broker, validate documents, and ensure timely clearance of goods at our plant in Nuevo León. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ related experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily Import and Export operations for the plant with a focus on Customs Compliance.
• Coordinate arrival of materials to the warehouse with the Customs Agent abroad.
• Validation of commercial documents.
• Reconciliation of arrived components vs. documents.
• Preparation of customs documents.
• Provide tariff classification information for import permits.
• Point of contact between the Customs Agent and the service plant.
• Follow-up of the customs clearance process from loading to arrival.
• Validation of import/export declarations and uploading into Annex 24.
• Manage the Annex 24 system.
• KPIs with Customs Agents.
• Review of Expense Accounts.
