IKEA Purchasing & Logistics México in Mexico City is seeking a Production Engineer to lead engineering and quality agendas, collaborating with North American suppliers to ensure quality and compliance in production processes. The role focuses on securing product quality and safety for millions of customers.

Formación

• A background in engineering, quality and product/production development.
• Solid knowledge of production processes and technologies.
• Solid experience in manufacturing industry; certification and testing globally would be preferred.
• Preferably having an engineering education and at least 3 years working experience.
• Strong communicative skills and fluent English in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Proven experience in supplier management & project management.
• Proactive approach.

Responsabilidades

• Lead supplier development for quality and manufacturing; identify and implement actions and execute projects.
• Lead implementation of new products at suppliers.
• Evaluate potential new supplier production facilities and quality systems; understand the Americas holistic picture.
• Secure supplier and product quality/safety compliance.
• Collaborate with global teams to develop IKEA safety and quality policies and performance.
• Drive continuous improvements from a quality and production efficiency perspective.
• Drive product development and continuous improvement for innovation and operational excellence.
• Be willing to learn continuously from good examples and mistakes.
• Build trust and partnerships to reach common goals.
