Global Payments Inc. is seeking an entry-level Storage Engineer to join the IT team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will administer and support enterprise storage platforms, including provisioning, capacity management, and performance optimization.

You will gain exposure to backup, data migration, replication, lifecycle management, and automation through scripting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, with on-call duties possible.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems, SAN technologies, and data protection solutions.
• Knowledge of Fibre Channel, storage networking, replication, and backup technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux host integration and storage administration concepts.
• Basic scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure teams.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Administers and supports enterprise storage platforms, including storage provisioning, capacity management, and performance optimization.
• Completes storage allocation, backup and recovery, data migration, replication, and connectivity requests.
• Creates, removes, and expands storage volumes, file systems, and host mappings while maintaining operational standards.
• Provides SAN switch and fabric monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
• Assists with storage platform upgrades, hardware refreshes, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develops automation and operational efficiencies through scripting and process improvements.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Collaborates with server, database, virtualization, and network teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
• Participates in change management, incident response, and problem resolution activities.
• May require rotating 24x7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
