Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Virtualization Engineer to help shape the future of global commerce. You will install and configure VMware ESXi/VCenter, manage virtual servers, and implement security across virtualized environments.

Responsibilities include upgrades, automation scripting with PowerShell or Bash, and collaboration with IT teams. Flexibility for on-call and weekend coverage is required to ensure system availability.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or practical experience in computer science or IT.
• Experience with virtualization software, vSphere/VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Knowledge of storage management, TCP/IP, and network monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good documentation.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Install and configure virtualization software; deploy ESXi, vCenter, and VMs.
• Manage virtual servers; provision, configure, and troubleshoot VMs for reliability.
• Implement virtualization security; access controls, encryption, and monitoring.
• Perform system upgrades and patches for virtualization software and OS.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
• Troubleshoot issues in the virtualized environment and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure integration with other systems; provide training as needed.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation and weekend coverage as required.
