Autoliv Mexico is seeking a Project Buyer to drive purchasing activities for steering wheel projects, interfacing with cross-functional teams to meet cost, timing and performance targets. You will manage supplier relationships and execute procurement through the Autoliv Production Development System.

The role requires an engineering or business degree and experience in automotive sourcing, with travel of 10–20% and occasional global project support.

Formación

• English speaking and writing skills.
• 4-year degree in SCM/Business/Materials/technical background.
• Project or Commodity Purchasing experience at a Tier One Automotive Supplier.
• Travel 10-20%.
• Willingness to support global projects.

Responsabilidades

• Develop in-depth product/process knowledge of responsible technologies and global supply base via supplier workshops, plant visits, and reviews.
• Negotiate Component Engineering changes to avoid cost creep and improve project objectives.
• Execute all purchasing activities of product/project development within the specified projects and Autoliv PDP.
• Support cross functional team initiatives around lead time reduction, cost improvements and supply vulnerability improvements.
• Procure all pre-production and prototype components through SOP.
• Maintain costed BOM and tooling cost through change management from phase zero through SOP.
