The Chemours Company in Mexico City is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer end-to-end payroll processes for a large operation, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies. You will collaborate with Finance, Compensation, and Benefits teams, supporting audits and system improvements.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related experience, 3+ years of payroll processing, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of payroll regulations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor
• 3+ years of experience with end-to-end payroll processing for a large multi-state organization
• Strong knowledge of payroll related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements
• Understanding of accounting principles including journal entries and reconciliations
• Experience with decentralized payroll environments and SOX controls

Responsabilidades

• Administer end to end payroll processes for biweekly and monthly cycles
• Ensure compliance for exempt and non-exempt employees including garnishments and bonus/severance coordination
• Assist with error resolution and data analysis for payroll systems
• Identify process improvements and define standards for new processes
• Maintain payroll files as required by law and policy
• Assist in establishing payroll procedures and troubleshooting
• Oversee periodic audits of payroll processes for compliance
• Collaborate with Finance, Compensation, and Benefits teams
• Assist in audits including SOX controls
• Enter stock options and other equity-related items
• Participate in system upgrades testing
• Review payroll audit reports for accuracy
• Participate in all year-end payroll activities
