Job summary

DHL Express Mexico City seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to support procurement, fleet, ground/air operations, and IT contracts. You will manage contracts end-to-end, coordinate litigation with external firms, and provide guidance on regulatory matters to safeguard the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and about five years in corporate or operational legal roles.
• Proven contract management and negotiation experience with suppliers or internal partners.
• Experience in coordinating litigation with external law firms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to articulate legal risks.
• Intermediate English proficiency with good comprehension and writing.
• Experience in logistics, ground/air transportation or regulatory operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts for Procurement, IT, Fleet, Ground, and Air Operations.
• Support Procurement by reviewing bid documents and assessing legal risks.
• Maintain updated contract templates and playbooks.
• Advise on supplier incidents, including non-compliance, disputes, and claims.
• Support Customer Service in civil claims, high priority escalations, and interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Provide legal guidance during force majeure or service disruptions, ensuring compliant communication.
• Assist HR with labor inspections, authority requests, and conciliatory processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in ground and air operations and resolve disputes with transport providers.
• Coordinate litigation and administrative proceedings with external law firms, ensuring proper follow up and compliance with rulings.
