Job summary

Ford of Mexico is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Buyer for Brake Calipers to join the Purchasing team. You will lead end-to-end negotiations, shape supplier partnerships, and drive cost and quality initiatives across global programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Business or Engineering, 5+ years in automotive sourcing, and proven ability to balance cost, quality, and innovation in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment at our GTBC in Naucalpan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive purchasing or strategic sourcing.
• Experience sourcing brake calipers, braking systems, or similar components.
• Proven ability in complex commercial negotiations and supplier contracts.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel/Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for brake calipers across global programs.
• Drive negotiations on price, tooling costs, design changes, and cost-reduction targets.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts, including long-term agreements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities via should-cost modeling and market intel.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Purchasing to meet cost targets.
• Present sourcing recommendations and financial analyses to leadership for approval.
