Leggett Dynamics is seeking a Commodity Manager within our Automotive team. You will report to the Global Category Manager and drive global strategy development, deployment and execution to deliver the lowest total cost of externally sourced production materials.

In this role you will build relationships with internal stakeholders and Leggett & Platt supply partners, lead cross-functional cost initiatives, and ensure contracts reflect sourcing outcomes while mitigating risks across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in financial or technical discipline; Master preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in a category/commodity management role with global responsibilities.
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment; Automotive experience preferred.
• Strong cost-modeling experience and ability to drive cost reductions.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and databases/query capabilities.
• Strong business and financial acumen.

Responsabilités

• Lead global commodity strategies for assigned components and raw materials, improving cost and quality.
• Secure cross-functional buy-in and develop comprehensive communication plans.
• Execute contracts reflecting sourcing initiatives with appropriate terms.
• Foster performance-based relationships with suppliers and manage supply risks.
• Consolidate global commodity activities and ensure consistent strategy across regions.
• Support regional productivity actions and evaluate progress.
• Ensure monthly tracking and reporting of commodity productivity actions.
