Job summary

Corning Incorporated's Optical Communications Division is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead global automation projects from concept to production. You will serve as a technical lead, coordinating cross-functional teams and external machine builders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of world-class automation equipment.

You will mentor engineers, develop design documentation, and drive safety, performance, and quality standards across manufacturing sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Willingness to travel globally (US and Poland mentioned).
• Advanced English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end automation projects from design to production start-up.
• Develop specifications and conduct design reviews per global automation standards.
• Manage external machine builders and system integrators to meet milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and document IP and roadmaps.
