About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Gerente Legal Senior to lead their legal operations. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility and the opportunity to manage legal affairs for a dynamic organization from anywhere. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance, coupled with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. You will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal support, managing a team (potentially remotely), and ensuring the company's legal framework is robust and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and compliance. Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various business units. Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risks. Manage external counsel relationships and ensure cost-effective legal services. Lead and mentor junior legal staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing remote team. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across all operational areas. Review and negotiate significant contracts and agreements. Proactively identify and address legal issues impacting the business. Contribute to the development and execution of corporate strategy from a legal perspective.

Requirements

Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a highly regarded institution. Licensed to practice law in Mexico and in good standing with the bar. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible legal experience, with a significant portion in a senior or management role. Broad experience across various legal disciplines, including corporate law, contracts, and regulatory compliance. Proven leadership and team management capabilities, preferably in a remote setting. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Spanish. English fluency is highly advantageous. Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
