Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Gerente de Planta y Producción de Alimentos to lead our Toluca facility. You will oversee daily production, ensure GMP/HACCP compliance, and drive efficiency with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in food production and plant management.
• Proven experience with GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in budget management and P&L responsibility.
• Ability to work effectively both on-site and manage strategic planning remotely.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated success in driving efficiency and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily production activities to ensure timely, efficient food manufacturing.
• Enforce strict quality and safety controls (GMP/HACCP).
• Manage production schedules, raw material inventory, and finished goods.
• Lead, train, and motivate the production team for a safe workplace.
• Monitor equipment and facilities; schedule maintenance and uptime.
• Analyze production data to identify improvements and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, R&D, Sales, and Logistics.
• Develop and manage the plant's operational budget.
