Job Description
The Materials Manager will oversee the overall site supply chain functions: planning, procurement, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and products in accordance with company objectives and customer requirements, always complying with legal and safety regulations.
- Steer and optimize the overall supply chain process to improve the value stream from El Paso Crossdock and the manufacturing plant in Cd. Juarez, Mexico.
- Oversee all logistics activities related to customer planning, production control, and material procurement.
- Guide, design, and oversee the implementation of standardized processes across all supply chain functions.
- Design and oversee the implementation of a standardized storage concept to achieve optimal stock levels.
- Support suppliers in implementing VMI and consignment projects.
- Define and improve warehouse processes and capacity planning; oversee processes related to logistics, including raw material supply quality, customs declaration, and purchasing.
- Implement new systems, applications, and automation in logistics processes.
- Foster regular communication with other Bosch plants to implement best practices that improve logistics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and policy deployment within the plant.
Qualifications
- Ensure compliance with quality principles.
- Actively support Bosch Production System, System CIP projects, policy deployment, and teamwork.
- Follow up on labor discipline of personnel if applicable.
- Know and apply Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, fulfilling legal and corporate requirements, and safety procedures.
- Ensure outsourced personnel under supervision comply with internal regulations.
- Participate in relevant training and assessments based on job risk levels.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a manager in logistics, with expertise in physical logistics and warehouse management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Proactive, team-oriented, with good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in at least two languages, with advanced English skills.
