GEODIS in Mexico seeks a General Ledger Supervisor to lead closing, balance reconciliations, and internal controls across entities in a hybrid/on-site setting. You will drive process standardization, audits, and cross-country coordination, guiding a GL team of 6–10 professionals.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in general ledger, fluency in English, and strong ERP/Excel skills to optimize financial operations in a dynamic logistics environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3–7+ years of general ledger experience.
• Experience in SSC/multi-country environments preferred.
• Fluent English; strong ERP and Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Accounting close planning, governance, calendars, dashboards, and journal entries approval.
• Balance reconciliations and root cause analysis with remediation plans.
• Maintain internal controls, policies, SOPs, and audit responses.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and follow-up on findings.
• Lead GL team (6–10 FTEs), assign work, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Manage stakeholder variances and multi-country coordination.
• Ensure continuity planning and coverage during peak periods.

General Ledger Supervisor Responsibilities

• Accounting close planning and governance: managing calendars, planning capacity, progress dashboards, removing blockers; reviewing and approving material journal entries for assigned entities.
• Balance reconciliations: ensuring 100% completion on time and in full; analyzing aged items, identifying root causes, and implementing remediation plans with evidence.
• Internal controls: compliance with policies and SOPs; documentation, testing, and closure of findings.
• Audits (internal/external): coordination, responses, and follow-up on observations.
• Team management (6–10 FTEs): account/entity assignments, one-on-ones, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Stakeholder relationship: communication of variances and risks; managing shared mailboxes.
• Continuity management: coverage during peak periods/holidays, handoffs, and contingency planning.

Requirements

• Fluent in English
• Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting
• Experience working in a Finance Shared Service Center environment or multi-country environments (preferred)
• ERP systems (one or more): MS Dynamics AX/365, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, Pivot).
• Productivity tools: Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); Power Automate knowledge is desirable.
• Total General Ledger/accounting experience: 3–7+ years
• Direct leadership experience: 1–3+ years managing GL teams (analysts and seniors) and overseeing closing processes.
• Audit experience: direct interaction with auditors and managing the resolution of audit findings.
• Transformation experience: involvement or leadership in process standardization, automation initiatives, or system implementation projects.
• Multi-country planning and execution.
• Problem analysis and resolution with a focus on root cause.
• Effective communication (written and oral).
• Performance management (feedback, mentoring, PIPs when applicable).
• (Preferred) Continuous improvement orientation.
• Internal customer service and cross-functional collaboration (AP/AR/Payroll/Tax/Operations)
