Metso Corporation in Irapuato, Mexico is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join the Finance Mexico Team. You will perform core accounting tasks within the Metso Finance unit in Irapuato, reporting to the Mexico Finance Head.

The role emphasizes accurate financial closing, balance-sheet reconciliations, and process improvements in a cross-cultural environment, with English proficiency and ERP system knowledge valued.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or finance operations.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, financial closing, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced written and spoken English; SAP or ERP knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Process and monitor miscellaneous accounting transactions, ensuring accurate entries.
• Perform verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Participate in month-end close activities and assigned accounting tasks.
• Support legal compliance processes, including VAT, corporate tax, WHT, audits, and reporting.
• Perform internal controls within own area of responsibility.
• Handle asset accounting activities, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and related transactions.
• Handle inquiries and respond to accounting-related queries promptly.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and change projects.
